A small, Mennonite college’s mishandling of harassment and abuse cases prompted student protest and now a wave of faculty and staff resignations
On April 14, at a campus gathering at Hesston College, a small Mennonite school in the heart of Kansas, Hesston’s President Joseph Manickam read a letter regarding an external investigation into mishandling of sexual assault. He noted that some of what he had to read may be hard to hear, but he asked that “you find the strength to lean into it.”
